It was established by Serbian Government with the Decision on establishing Public Enterprise for transport, storage, distribution and trade in natural gas “SRBIJAGAS”. The main activity of the company is the Trade in gas fuels through a gas pipeline network. PE “SRBIJAGAS”, Novi Sad tends to be a competitive company and efficient on the market in all its activities, so it develops into a modern, organised, profitable and long-term successful company which takes a permanent care of its customers, employees and the environment in which it operates. The efficient and quality realisation of Energy balance and Strategy of Energy Development in the Republic of Serbia make the main parts of the business policy of the company.
The leader on the gas market of Serbia today is a modern gas company whose power lies in its tradition and decades of experience, significant human and material resources, know-how and commitment to the improvement, development, and connection of the gas infrastructure in Serbia with the countries in the region.
PE “Srbijagas”, with the headquarters in Novi Sad, was established on 1 October 2005 with the decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. Today’s Srbijagas evolved in the process of reconstruction of NIS, from the organisational parts of NIS-Gas, NIS-Energogas and NIS-Jugopetrol (Plinara and PJ Gas, Pančevo) which used to develop the gas sector more than fifty years ago.
